Work Performed: Installation of drywall & trim, prime and paint.

Work Performed: Form and pour additional slab on front of porch. 3' front to back, length to mimic last step. Drill and insert rebar into existing slab.

"All Service Construction & Maintenance did a superb job on our porch expansion. We had an old, sturdy, but dangerously small porch that needed to be expanded and have handrails added. The old porch is now much larger, covered with new cement, topped by good-traction indoor-outdoor tile, and has a solid hand rail down each side of the porch. The sidewalk was replaced as well. Allen Riffe came out personally to look over the scene at our first meeting. He looked at the homeowner's sketch, then clearly translated those ideas into a working project. He added the excellent idea of weather-resistant tile and redoing the sidewalk. He regularly checked on the project's status. As the project reached its mid-point, Dan Akers took personal 'ownership' as he worked on the porch. His work with the tile included a rounded corner on the top step, which added greatly to the look of the porch. All Service Construction & Maintenance is easy to reach. They have a walk-up office and a friendly staff assistant (Kimberly) who answers the phone when the crew is out working on projects. The estimate was adhered to, so there was no problem with the price. The homeowner included a letter with the final payment stating we would be happy to serve as references for All Service Construction & Maintenance.".

Work Performed: Basement Waterproofing-Water was leaking into basement from a brick front porch above. Cleaned and re-mortared the brick, and sealed the area.

Work Performed: Replacement of Hardiplank siding; painting to match existing.

"Woodpeckers had damaged the siding on our chimney and we wanted to replace it before the winter. We called several contractors from Angie's List but they all said they were too busy for such a small job. Allen was very courteous and said he would send someone over to look at what needed to be done. Ralph arrived and took less than 5 minutes to take measurements. We were sent a bid both via email and by mail. We did not have any old paint left that matched our old siding and they came and matched the color without troubling us. We told Allen we wanted the work done while we were on vacation, however we were in a rush and forgot to pay them the agreed upon 1/3 fee before we left. When we returned we were pleasantly surprised to see that the work was completed and the remaining paint left by our front door."

Work Performed: Delivery of shrubs to a temporary location, hauling of yard waste and household debris to recycling center.

"Allen Riffe was the best thing (the only good thing) that happened to us all week. Our neighbors had just clear-cut their property leaving our trees and home exposed to winds. We needed large, evergreen shrubs in a hurry. While walking the dog we encountered Allen on another job which necessitated his removing some three large rhododendrons and two camellias from that property! Allen agreed to bring them to us and was very helpful getting them in the ground temporarily until I can plant them permanently in the spring, then he loaded up his truck, and took all of our yard-waste to the compost recyclers. The next day he returned to haul away a truckload of debris including our 80 gallon water heater which had just broken. He was very helpful, even recommending I look around the area again to insure he got everything which needed to be gone."

Work Performed: French Drain Installation-Dug out foundation on two sides, applied waterproofing sealer to outside of basement walls, installed two French drains, backfilled with rock and dirt.

"Allen and his crew did a thorough job. This was a difficult job as it all had to be done by hand. They had to dig around all of the utility lines without damaging them. The crew was careful to keep the landscaping around the areas as undisturbed as possible. Plants that had to be moved were replanted carefully. The crew cleaned up the site every day."

"Allen Riffe gave us a free consultation on waterproofing our basement, as we had two windows leaking water. He was polite, thorough, knowledgeable and professional. When I asked him to quote on the work he suggested that we could probably have our workers perform the work at a less costly rate than he could give us. When we offered to pay for consulting time-or even just transportation cost-he declined the offer and said he liked to help people. We were extremely impressed with his service and knowledge and would recommend him highly."

Work Performed: Basement Waterproofing-Removed moisture barrier, dug 60-80 feet of trench, put pipe in trenches, back-filled with rock, re-graded clay soil, installed sump pump, reinstalled moisture barrier and missing insulation in crawl space underneath the house.

There was one day he had trouble finding a part necessary for the work, but he called to let me know when he would be arriving.
